婴孩、少年、老年 / Infancy; Youth; Old Age
ENLIFE'S PERIODS: Infancy and childhood; youth, or early manhood; old age. Infancy blessed by Christ: Mark 10:14-16. Suffer the little children to come unto Me . . . And He took them up in His arms, put His hands upon them, and blessed them. The childlike spirit commended: Matt. 18:2-5. Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Youth: Prov. 20:29. The glory of young men is their strength. 1 John 2:13, 14. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you. Eccles. 11:9. Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth . . . but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment. Eccles. 12:1. Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth. Prov. 1:4. To give . . . to the young man knowledge and discretion. Ps. 119:9. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed thereto according to Thy word. Lam. 3:27. It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth. Titus 2:6. Young men likewise exhort to be sober-minded.

ENOld Age: Prov. 16:31. The hoary head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness. Prov. 20:29. The beauty of old men is the hoary head. Ps. 71—the Prayer of Old Age. (Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.) An illustration of cheerful, unselfish age: Barzillai (2 Sam. 19:31-39). Ps. 92:14. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing. Isa. 46:4. Even to old age I am He; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; yea, I will carry, and will deliver you. Other fitting promises: Isa. 41:9, 10. Thou art My servant; I have chosen thee. . . . Fear thou not, for I am with thee; . . . I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee. Isa. 43:2. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee. Ps. 48:14. He will be our guide even unto death.
