短暂与脆弱 / Brevity and Frailty

ENLIFE, AS MORTAL. Brevity and frailty: Gen. 47:9. Few and evil have the days of the years of my life been. 1 Chron. 29:15. Our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is no abiding. Ps. 39:5, 6. Behold, Thou hast made my days as handbreadths; . . . surely every man at his best estate is altogether vanity. Ps. 90:9, 10. We spend our years as a tale that is told. The days of our years are threescore years and ten. Ps. 102:11. My days are like a shadow that declineth. Ps. 103:15, 16. As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. Job 7:6, 7, 9. My days are swifter than a weaver's shuttle. O remember that my life is wind. As the cloud is consumed and vanisheth away, so he that goeth down to the grave shall come up no more. Job 9:25, 26. My days are swifter than a post: they are passed away as the swift ships. Job 14:1, 2. Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble. He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not.

BSBPsalm 103:15, 16 15 As for man, his days are like grass—he blooms like a flower of the field; 16 when the wind passes over, it vanishes, and its place remembers it no more.
