ENINFIRMITY, WEAKNESS, bodily or spiritual. Regarded and helped of God: Ps. 103:14. For He knoweth our frame; He remembereth that we are dust. Isa. 32:2. The shadow of a great rock in a weary land. Isa. 40:29. He giveth power to the faint. Isa. 50:4. That I should know how to sustain with words him that is weary. Lam. 3:22, 32. His compassions fail not. Matt. 8:17. Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses. Matt. 26:41. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Rom. 8:26. The Spirit also helpeth our infirmity. Heb. 4:15. Touched with the feeling of our infirmities. James 5:11. The Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
