ENHEARERS AND HEARING OF THE WORD. Hearing, a fundamental command and essential obligation: Isa. 55:3. Hear, and your soul shall live. Prov. 8:6, 33. Ezek. 3:27. He that heareth, let him hear. Matt. 11:15. Rev. 2:7, 11. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith. Eccles. 5:1. Draw nigh to hear. Jer. 13:15. Hear ye, and give ear; for the Lord hath spoken. Cautions: Mark 4:24. Take heed what ye hear. Luke 8:18. Take heed how ye hear. Heb. 2:1. We ought to give the more earnest heed to the things that were heard, lest haply we drift away from them. 2 Pet. 1:19.
