殷勤蒙福 / Diligence Tends to Thrift and Honor
ENDILIGENCE; Idleness. Diligence, or industry, tends to thrift, competence, and honor: Prov. 10:4. The hand of the diligent maketh rich. Prov. 13:4. The soul of the diligent shall be made fat. Prov. 12:24, 27. The hand of the diligent shall bear rule. The precious substance of men is to the diligent. Prov. 21:5. The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness. Prov. 22:29. A man diligent in his business shall stand before kings. Prov. 27:23. Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks. Prov. 31:27. Rom. 12:11. In diligence not slothful.

ENIdleness, or slothfulness, tends to waste, want, wretchedness, and disgrace: Prov. 18:9. He that is slack in his work is brother to a destroyer. Prov. 19:15. An idle soul shall suffer hunger. Prov. 13:4. The sluggard desireth, and hath nothing. Prov. 20:4. The sluggard shall beg in harvest, and have nothing. Prov. 6:6-11. Go to the ant, thou sluggard. Thy want shall come as an armed man. Prov. 15:19. The way of the sluggard is as a hedge of thorns. Prov. 24:30-34. The vineyard of the slothful all grown over with thorns. Eccles. 10:18. By slothfulness the roof sinketh in; and through idleness of the hands the house leaketh. 1 Tim. 5:8. If any man provide not for his own, he is worse than an infidel. Prov. 26:14, 16.
